When I hire I look for all of the foundational things that everybody else looks for; intelligence, drive, honesty, chemistry, etc. But I pay special attention to loyalty. There are a lot of smart people in the world but very few loyal ones. This is why everywhere I have worked I have built successful teams. In one of my early jobs I reduced atrocious, > 200% turnover to 40% in a few months.
