Today
- Worked from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Put together a Christmas village with the kids
- Tired
- Can’t wait until holiday
“ When I hire I look for all of the foundational things that everybody else looks for; intelligence, drive, honesty, chemistry, etc. But I pay special attention to loyalty. There are a lot of smart people in the world but very few loyal ones. This is why everywhere I have worked I have built successful teams. In one of my early jobs I reduced atrocious, > 200% turnover to 40% in a few months.

Today
- Worked from home, pretty backed up and not seeming to make my normal progress, probably has something to do with me not feeling all that well.
- I didn’t get to spend anytime on the bike today and I feel a difference.
- Need some sleep, hopefully this upcoming vacation gets me some rest
- Watched Christmas Vacation with Connor while I got some work done tonight.
- Megan is really into this whole naughty list and nice list thing, she snaps to attention when there’s a mere mention of a naughty list. I’ll tell her, “better be good” and she lowers her head and replies in a submissive, sullen voice, “yes Father.” Cracks me up.
- That’s really it - I worked from about 7:30 to about 12:30 a.m. taking maybe two hours off to eat and spend a few minutes with the family.
